Introducing EX78900G: 90W and 2.5G Speed in a Compact Solution

The EX78900G series is EtherWAN’s latest 12-port industrial gigabit L2/L3 managed PoE++ DIN-rail Ethernet switch, featuring a 2.5G tri-speed network and comprehensive layer 2 and layer 3 management functionalities. It is a compact all-in-one device that doesn’t compromise hardware reliability and can withstand extreme environments. The DIN-rail mounted switch boasts 8 gigabit PoE ports, each capable of delivering a maximum 90W PoE power.

This switch features redundant power input ranging from 46 to 57VDC with a relay alarm contact that promptly notifies you of any power redundancy failures. The EX78900G comes equipped with 8 gigabit PoE RJ-45 ports and up to 4 tri-speed 100/1G/2.5G SFP ports. The SFP uplink ports can extend the bandwidth over existing fiber cable infrastructure by 2.5G bandwidth and provide adaptability with triple-speed options of 100Mbps, 1000Mbps, and 2500Mbps for more flexible connectivity.

You can choose a combination of 8 gigabit PoE RJ-45 ports and 2 or 4 tri-speed SFP ports for extended-range connectivity. It complies with the IEEE 802.3bt Type 4 PoE++ protocol, delivering 90W of power per port and providing a total PoE power budget of 240 to 480 watts. EX78900G is compatible with IEEE 802.3af (PoE) and IEEE 802.3at (PoE+), allowing versatile PoE power delivery ranging from 15W to 90W per Ethernet port.

The EX78900G series brings L2/L3 switching capabilities, supporting SNMP, port mirroring, QoS, flow control, VLAN, Link Aggregation, IGMP snooping, DHCP, and other L3 routing features. These switches can efficiently perform network redundancy, which can be achieved through ERPS (Ethernet ring protection switching).
