ED3538T/R Dip Switch Configuration

Answer:

To enable both the power and data communications between the ED3538T and ED3538R, the DIP switches on both must be configured according to the following:

  1. The “PoL” DIP switch #1 on the ED3538T must be configured to be in the “On” or up position to enable power to transfer from the ED3538T to the ED3538R.
  2. The “Mode” DIP switch #1 on the ED3538R must be configured to be in the “Rmt” or up position to accept data communications from the ED3538T.
  3. The “Type” DIP switch #2 on both the ED3538T and ED3538R should be configured in the “Std” or down position, in order to establish an initial stable connection.
  4. Optionally, the “Type” DIP switch #2 on both the ED3538T and ED3538R can be configured in the “Perf” or up position, to optimize the data and sync rate.
